About Baldwin Law

With almost 40 years of legal experience, Bob is a respected trial attorney known for his effective and strategic representation in complex litigation. Originally from New York, he relocated to Arizona after law school and spent three years practicing at a prominent firm in Phoenix. In 1990, Bob moved to Bozeman, where he has been an influential figure in the local legal community ever since.

Bob focuses his practice on a wide range of litigation matters, including commercial disputes, business torts, corporate/shareholder conflicts, and insurance cases. He also represents plaintiffs in personal injury claims, often on a contingency fee basis.

Throughout his career, Bob has secured several multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements. Notably, he obtained a $3.8 million jury award in a defamation case against a Kalispell radio station. He has also achieved favorable outcomes in high-profile cases involving the Spanish Peaks Resort and the founder of the Yellowstone Club.

Bob’s work frequently involves real property disputes, real estate development rights, and complex insurance coverage/bad faith issues. Known for his tenacious advocacy and deep legal insight, Bob is committed to achieving exceptional results for his clients, even in the most challenging and high-stakes cases.

Guy earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Montana School of Law in 2025 and was admitted to practice law in all Montana state courts and the United States District Court for the District of Montana. During law school, he developed a strong interest in complex civil litigation, natural resource law, and business tort, areas that continue to be the focus of his practice.

Since graduating, Guy has practiced with Baldwin Law, PLLC, where he represents clients in a variety of complex civil matters with a particular emphasis on business tort, natural resources, and land-related issues.

Guy returned to southwest Montana after law school, having previously spent several years guiding clients as a fly-fishing guide on Montana rivers. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and Environmental Studies from Hobart College, which helped shape his path toward a legal career.

Outside of practicing law, Guy enjoys spending his weekends fishing Montana’s rivers, upland bird hunting with his English cocker spaniel, Badger, chasing elk, and spending time with family and friends.

MacKenzee is a first-generation attorney and a first-year associate at Baldwin Law Firm. Originally from a small town east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, MacKenzee moved across the country to pursue her long-held dream of becoming an attorney. She moved to Bozeman at the end of 2025 after passing the bar exam and is proud to begin her legal career here in Montana.

Known for her strong work ethic and attention to detail, MacKenzee is committed to earning the trust of Montanans through hard work, thoughtful guidance, and clear communication. She hopes to help clients feel informed, supported, and confident as they navigate unfamiliar legal matters.

MacKenzee earned her J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in May 2025 and completed her undergraduate studies in English and Political Science at the Pennsylvania State University in May 2022. She played Division III college basketball in undergrad and worked for a Division I program in law school.

Outside the office, MacKenzee loves to stay active by going to the gym, joining rec leagues to re-live her glory days, and exploring all that Montana has to offer. She loves college sports, specifically Penn State football and North Dakota hockey, but she looks forward to attending Montana State women’s basketball games. She also loves live music and discovering new indie and alternative artists.

MacKenzee is excited to put down roots in Bozeman and serve the community with dedication, humility, and hard work.

Matthew Wilson is a paralegal at Baldwin Law, where he assists with legal research, case preparation, and trial support. He joined the firm in 2023 after graduating from Bucknell University with a B.A. in economics. During his time at Bucknell, Matthew gained valuable legal experience through an internship with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office in Pennsylvania.

Matthew is eager to develop his career in law and is actively pursuing the goal of attending law school in the future. In his free time, he enjoys fly fishing, skiing, and cheering on his beloved Philadelphia sports teams.

Deanna was born in Montana and raised in Bozeman. She has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Montana State University. She serves as the office manager, handling bookkeeping, billing and accounts payable, and other administrative tasks that are required to keep the office running.

When she is not at work, Deanna enjoys being a mother to her and Bob’s children, caring for their menagerie of pets, and traveling.

Benjamin Amelkin joined Baldwin Law as a legal assistant in June 2024, bringing with him a background in public service and administrative support. Before joining the firm, Benjamin worked for the Montana State Public Defender’s Office and held positions in the Gallatin County Treasurer’s Office and Elections Department. His diverse experience also includes interning for a congressional campaign and serving as Assistant Director for a YMCA summer camp.

Benjamin graduated from Montana State University with a double major in political science and history. He is committed to providing strong administrative support to the legal team at Baldwin Law. Outside of work, Benjamin enjoys playing guitar, skiing, watching movies, and dancing.
